Emma’s intention is to create a cheerful and safe atmosphere, where she can share her love, passion and knowledge of yoga, martial arts and dance. Emma’s classes are sweaty, challenging and accessible.
About Emma SaalAlexandria 200-hour RYT, Is an Inspirational Yoga Teacher who received her training in our nation’s capital at Flow Yoga Center. She took her first Yoga class as an elective in college and found it to be very grounding. She is at heart somewhat of a gypsy, flowing through lots of change. Yoga helped her find grounding and peace through out her journey. After years of practicing and working in Miami, NYC and Boston in the corporate world she left everything in 2013 to follow her passion of teaching yoga in hopes to inspire her students to live courageously.
With each practice, Alexandria wants her students to feel calm and grounded, to give them a practice that creates space for them to heal within, and to connect to their divine self. She uses her voice in hopes of soothing some souls through centering, allowing each student to begin practice more present then when first entering. She stays true to her Vinyassa roots by creating sequences with soulful sounds that range from Otis Redding to Krishna Das. Allowing each student to find a moment of peace and clarity. She encourages her students to flow at their own pace reminding them that this time is for them.
The most important aspect of yoga that Alexandria wants to share with her students is the concept that "The time spent on the mat is about you, not me as a teacher or your beautiful yogi partner next to you, it's about leaving everything outside and trusting something greater brought you to the mat and allowing yourself space to discover that. I hope to share a piece of my soul with my students, soften their hearts a little bit, to give them the space to feel non-judged, allowing them to be their authentic self. Inspiring them to build confidence in trusting that they have everything they need within themselves already"-Alexandria
Striking a delicate balance between being energetic and grounding, Shannon’s playful classes stay true to her Vinyasa roots using the breath to connect the asanas (postures) in fun and exciting ways. Shannon’s goal is to hold space for her students to experience a light-hearted class that takes them to their edge and allows them to draw their attention inward for a deeply personal yoga practice that benefits them on and off the mat.
As a Yoga Teacher and Studio Director at Epic Yoga DC, you can catch Shannon practicing next to you in class and at the studio most evenings!

Very private location in the jungle. The food was outstanding. Yoga was relaxing and insightful. Hotel staff went above and beyond. Loved walking to private beach for a mud scrub. Loved having a private driver. Massage was wonderful.
The location was beautiful and well kept. The staff were very attentive and friendly.
Great lodging right on the beach, beautiful yog astudio with all the props you need! The food was amazing!
Lovely.
Amazing! Would do it again in a heartbeat.
This was a unique and beautiful experience, highly recommend!!!
Amazing! I could not have asked for a better group and better location to join a group of 100% random people on.
Jaime, Matias, Raul and the whole staff at Punta Monterrey were so extremely welcoming and accommodating to all of our needs. It’s such a special place we can’t wait to be back!
The Hotel Punta Monterrey was an awesome venue, and the entire trip was seamlessly organized.
The trip was amazing! Beautiful location right on the beach, three delicious meals each day, helpful and friendly staff, lovely yoga space, wonderful yoga and fitness classes.
I had a wonderful time. Loved the resort, the teachers, experiences, yoga practice and all.
Hotel Puenta Monterrey was incredibly intimate and relaxing. If you want to unplug and remember what is important, this is the place. The owners are on site and involved in the day to day operations keeping in touch with the needs of their guests. It is family owned and cherished in a way that provides a quiet intimacy. Matias and Jaime went above and beyond to facilitate/translate during a health crisis of one our attendees. The leaders of our retreat, Tina and Cristina created a great daily yoga meditation curriculum. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Overall the trip was excellent! We enjoyed great yoga and meditation, terrific food, and the location and hotel staff made the whole experience amazing!
I had a great time!
This was my second experience hosting a yoga retreat with Trip Tribe and it far exceeded my highest expectations. Thank you for connecting us with such quaint locations to share our love of yoga and travel with our students. Looking forward to booking my 3rd retreat with Trip Tribe in the next few months.
It was a beautiful location.
Fantastic experience.... the entire staff is there to accommodate your every need, especially Jaime and Mateus. Exquisite rustic setting on private beach was pure paradise and the fresh food dishes were to die for AND super healthy...my fav was the fresh ahi, but close behind were the jack fish (sometimes caught right at our beach), dove fish, and tuna. The cuisine was an ongoing superb party of fresh flavors that tantalized the tastebuds!!!!
Had a great time! Outstanding job by instructors and hotel staff
The food, accommodations and yoga was OVER THE TOP. I had the time of my life :-)
It was great.
This was an excellent retreat in every way. The teacher was excellent. The stay at the Hotel Punta Monterrey was also excellent. It was on the rustic side in some ways but that added to the experience.
Excellent combination of superb yoga instruction, beautiful location and camaraderie. It rekindled my resolve to keep a daily yoga practice and gave me tools to enable that to easily happen. Being able to spend the free time on the adjacent beach and surrounding forest was spectacular.
Wonderful! Totally taken care of. Would do it again for sure!
The trip was fantastic! The location was idyllic and the seclusion or remoteness was what I was looking for in a retreat that was meant to enhance mindfulness, our awareness to be present and to be grateful of where we were and what we already have in our lives.
One of the best trips I have been on. Tracey lead a wonderful retreat and the environment was perfect for mindfulness.
Trip was amazing. Beautiful resort and private beach. The friendly staff and delicious food made the trip extra special. Highly recommend and would go back in a heartbeat.
Amazing trip! Amazing resort! Friendliest staff, most beautiful beach, great accommodations, fantastic and super healthy meals prepared for us everyday! They had many great activities available for us each day such as kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking to a hidden beach with a mud bath. They harvested and served us fresh oysters from right off shore twice! I was able to snorkel out from our beach to a rock point and see a plethora of beautiful fish as well. I will certainly be going back to Punta Monterey!
Really grateful for this place, the staff and the yoga room. We felt really welcome. We enjoyed how quiet the hotel and the beach was. It was truly a gift to stay at Punta Monterrey.
What more can I say??? The entire trip was a 5 Star experience for me!!!!!!! Seafood came fresh from the ocean to our plates, fresh fruit at all meals. All of our requests were answered with "can do". Want massages ,arranged, want to go "zip lining" Etctera,Etcetera,Etcetera.I think the ONLY item Jaime and staff can't take "credit" for was the weather :-)
This retreat was pure magic - from the location, to the accommodations, to the service and the staff - this was an amazing experience! Hands down.
Exceeded our expectations in every way! Perfect location, excellent accommodations, amazing people, and incredible food. Highly recommended. The location for a yoga retreat is perfect. To be overlooking the ocean and jungle with the sounds of the waves and the vision of the sun rising....while we did our morning yoga can't possibly be described in words....add to that the best yoga teacher in the universe....makes for a perfect experience.
Trip exceed expectations.
It was really nice to getaway! Food was very fresh & tasty!! Beach and lodging was clean. I had trouble sleeping the first few nights as it was quite humid. My room description on trip tribe said that it had ac but it did not.
I truly enjoyed this trip. Great leader and beautiful resort.
Beautiful location. Fresh food made daily.
Amazing trip! Wonderful resort with a very accommodating staff.
Overall a great trip! Certainly a rustic, but beautiful location. The yoga room is wonderful and we had incredible sunsets. I would recommend for those who enjoy the outdoors and don't mind going without some amenities. The food was local and tasty. The owners and staff very friendly. We had awesome leaders and a great group of people which truly made the trip!
Excellent trip. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, and the staff was very friendly. Food was delicious. No wifi, contrary to the website, which turned out to be fabulous but could have been an issue if I'd had a lot of work that needed to be done. I would definitely go back.
