Perched amidst majestically swaying palm trees, the Tailwind Jungle Lodge is a sustainable jungle lodge, yoga retreat center and adventure company on the Mexican Pacific. Our motto? Enjoy life! Between yoga, kayaking, hiking, SUP, yoga and relaxing in the hammock, it's definitely easy to do just that.

The Tailwind Jungle Lodge was founded by an adventurous American family in 2007. The lodge's creatively designed, tree-house like bungalows, palapas and casitas are nestled amidst 5 acres of truly stunning jungle ridges descending to breathtaking beaches of white sand. The lodge is located on a spectacular coastline, just north of the charming town of San Pancho (official name, San Francisco) in the state of Nayarit, Mexico.

The Instructor

Cyndy Clemens
Yoga Ambassador

I have been a practitioner, facilitator and developer of my own unique expression of this work with clients as well as my own very rigorous and continual personal and professional process since 2001, in addition to a very deep, cognitive, "information gathering" process since 1993 due to my own, what I now refer to as "sacred wounding," which was designed for the sole purpose of waking me up and aligning me with my own True Purpose.

I've received many trainings and teachings through many, such as:

Certification and ordination in Earth Circle Leadership Training with Maryanna Bock in Bath, Maine, 2006-2008

Various quests, sweat lodges and Pipe Circle gatherings in Hiram Maine, as well as Cedar Mesa, Utah with Maryanna Bock and Jeremy Youst, 2005-2010

Empowerment and Therapeutic Breathwork certification through Power of Breath Institute with Jeremy Youst out of Spofford, NH, 2003-2005 with continuing Advanced Practitioner Credits, 2006-2011

Sexual Energy and Spiritual Communication certifications through Steve and Barbara Rother from Lightworker in Las Vegas, Nevada, 2005-2007
Life Purpose Coach Training through Life on Purpose Institute out of Flat Rock, NC, with Brad Swift, 2001-2002
Deep Memory Process as created by Roger Woolger through Patricia Walsh, 2005

Evolutionary Astrology, as taught directly from Jeffrey Wolf Green, Boulder Colorado, April-October 2003

All of these teachings have provided a solid foundation, along with - most importantly - my own very deep, lifelong committed inner process to fulfilling my own purpose, because you can only take a client as far as you have gone yourself, and teach most effectively the teachings from direct life experience.

My vision and my purpose are deeply intertwined with sustainable living, which to me translates to giving back as well as to receiving, and recognizing the connection between the relationship with ourselves and our breath, and our relationship to all of life. The most recent layering around this for me is sustainable food practices through sustainable and biodynamic farming practices, the consumption of "living" foods, such as those created in cultured foods such as Kombucha, fermented foods, keifer, etc.

We left the concrete jungle in favour of the Mexican jungle with 10 others to stay at the Tailwind Lodge in San Pancho/San Fransisco for 6 days of yoga, incredible food, sun and unforgettable scenery. We had an open-air room in the jungle, camping in style. Our Chefs were amazing preparing the healthiest and tastiest Mexican food accommodating our vegans in the group. Our yoga platform was high up among the tree tops and looked out into the Pacific ocean. Our yoga sessions were set against the sound of waves and birds. During the week we enjoyed stand-up paddle boarding, hiking and kayaking in the ocean, as well as a trip into San Pancho and Sayulita. The 30 min hike to a beautiful and quiet private beach adds just the perfect amount of exercise and excitement. I highly recommend this retreat location and look forward to returning.

An amazing adventure in the jungle! The facilities were unique, the food was incredible, and the hostess's were the most inspiring, kind women! Tamara was very gracious, and always available for any requests or concerns. Jungle Judy's vitality is amazing!

Really, a perfect retreat. The only negatives would be cost of car transport to and from the Lodge and San Pancho. Otherwise, ever single element of the trip was beyond expectations.

My trip exceeded all expectations! My group was wonderful and the accommodations were perfect for a week of soul-searching and adventure. The food was incredible and location unreal. I would definitely book at Tailwind again.
