The Instructors

Christina Rairdan
Yoga Ambassador

My yoga journey began in 1998 with the simple intention of improving my flexibility after years of teaching group fitness classes. Although I quickly connected to the physicality of the practice, it was the emotional and spiritual connection which kept me coming back to my mat. It is from my yoga practice I have been able to truly love myself and embrace pure self-acceptance. Learning to be honest and open to all possibilities and realizing that it is from facing challenges we grow both on and off the mat. One of the greatest gifts of yoga is knowing the learning never ends. Although passionate about teaching, I equally welcome the role of student realizing that there is always much to be learned from others

I am a experienced registered Yoga Alliance instructor and have been teaching yoga in the Vacaville community for over 18 years. In this time I have witnessed how a regular yoga practice has helped many students with chronic pain and physical injuries. As a certified Spinning instructor I have the opportunity to work with many athletes and have seen the correlation of incorporating a yoga practice into their training module and improved sport performance. Yoga truly is for everybody and can be as physically challenging and powerful or as restorative as needed. I am honored to guide my students along THEIR yoga journey. It is my desire to meet each student where they are in their practice and carrying them towards who they wish to be on and off the mat. My signature class style is an powerful athletic based Vinyasa flow. I teach from a place of joy, infusing laughter, compassion and a sense of adventure into each class and I look forward to meeting you on your mat soon.

About Christina Rairdan
Tina Clay
Yoga Ambassador

My love affair with yoga grew after it played an important role in my recovery from post-partum depression. I was practicing yoga postures, and working with the breath for a few years before I felt motivated by my own healing and decided to pursue teaching yoga in 2004. Over the years, I have taught yoga to a variety of different populations; from teens to seniors, and I have experience teaching a few different styles of yoga; from power yoga to the more restorative and gentler practices. After teaching for more than a decade, and experiencing many transformations of my own practice, I realized that regardless of the style of yoga – one’s practice is ultimately and completely about cultivating and nurturing a relationship to the inner self. This insight led me to begin a study of the philosophy of yoga and to explore the teachings of meditation, particularly in the Theravada Buddhist Vipassana (Insight) tradition. I have completed 300 hours of study and practice in Mindful Yoga and Meditation, which is the beautiful blending of Yoga and Dharma in one’s practice of postures and in sitting/walking meditation. Nowadays my practice and teaching methodology is to nurture compassion for the inner being and to cultivate a mindful attention to the full experience of the present moment. I welcome the opportunity to share my love for the Dharma and Yoga with you.

Excellent trip. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, and the staff was very friendly. Food was delicious. No wifi, contrary to the website, which turned out to be fabulous but could have been an issue if I'd had a lot of work that needed to be done. I would definitely go back.

Overall a great trip! Certainly a rustic, but beautiful location. The yoga room is wonderful and we had incredible sunsets. I would recommend for those who enjoy the outdoors and don't mind going without some amenities. The food was local and tasty. The owners and staff very friendly. We had awesome leaders and a great group of people which truly made the trip!

Exceeded our expectations in every way! Perfect location, excellent accommodations, amazing people, and incredible food. Highly recommended. The location for a yoga retreat is perfect. To be overlooking the ocean and jungle with the sounds of the waves and the vision of the sun rising....while we did our morning yoga can't possibly be described in words....add to that the best yoga teacher in the universe....makes for a perfect experience.

Amazing trip! Amazing resort! Friendliest staff, most beautiful beach, great accommodations, fantastic and super healthy meals prepared for us everyday! They had many great activities available for us each day such as kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking to a hidden beach with a mud bath. They harvested and served us fresh oysters from right off shore twice! I was able to snorkel out from our beach to a rock point and see a plethora of beautiful fish as well. I will certainly be going back to Punta Monterey!

The trip was fantastic! The location was idyllic and the seclusion or remoteness was what I was looking for in a retreat that was meant to enhance mindfulness, our awareness to be present and to be grateful of where we were and what we already have in our lives.

Excellent combination of superb yoga instruction, beautiful location and camaraderie. It rekindled my resolve to keep a daily yoga practice and gave me tools to enable that to easily happen. Being able to spend the free time on the adjacent beach and surrounding forest was spectacular.
