Yanti is founder of Earth YogaNYC, a popular vinyasa studio on the upper east side of Manhattan which she has owned & operated since 2009. With over 700 hours of yoga certifications and training, she brings her legal background as an international lawyer to the business. Yanti came to yoga in 2003 in order to manage her hip and lower back issues caused by life as a polo-playing karateka. Thus began a journey influenced by a variety of traditions including Ashtanga, Hatha and Bhakti yoga. She also continues to spread her love of yoga through the EY 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program, through her mentoring and her community service. She is known as a teacher who bridges the world of business and the realm of yoga and meditation, intimately understanding the needs and pressures of her clients who live and breathe the corporate America existence.
Yanti loves the creative aspects of vinyasa power flow. She teaches a dynamic class focusing on building heat, developing strength using correct biomechanics and body awareness, and creating flexibility through sequences that are alignment-based. Through imagery and an inspiring, playful narrative, students deconstruct challenging asana and build tools to achieve them. On the yin side, Yanti is extremely fond of teaching restorative yoga, meditation and seniors yoga.
About Yanti AmosBorn in London in 1963, Richard has been involved seriously in Shotokan Karate since the age of 10. Richard competed for England in his late teens/early twenties and fulfilled his dream of training in Japan in January 1989. He stayed in Japan throughout the nineties, not only placing second in the All-Japan Championships but also becoming the first European to complete the Japan Karate Association's (JKA) 3-year instructor training program. He taught for over 5 years at the headquarters of the JKA and opened his own dojo in the heart of Tokyo with renowned designer Yohji Yamamoto, which operated continuously for 6 years.
In 2000 Richard relocated to New York after a two-year stint in Paris, and now heads the World Traditional Karate Organisation there.
Richard teaches at his Upper East Side dojo when he is not traveling the world teaching seminars to karate practitioners in more than 15 countries each year. His wife, Yanti, is a highly qualified yoga teacher and also a student of karate.

Komune Resort was amazing! The staff was so friendly and the services were outstanding. We were able to take excursions and really enjoyed getting to see and experience the culture! We will definitely be planning another trip there as there is much more we would like to see and do!
Absolutely fantastic. Dana was wonderful, as was the venue and the day trips. Magical!
beyond words. i am a different person than i was before the trip.
This trip was an absolute dream come true! Bali is unbelievable, and the Hotel Komune exceeded any expectations that I had about our accommodations! Trip Tribe, you did it again! The extra activities that we did, like the sunrise Mt. Batur hike and the purifying water temple were over the top! The yoga facilities were fantastic, just off the beach, or on the jungle. I will be back to Bali AND Hotel Komune for sure!

This was a trip of a lifetime for me and my husband. So thankful for our ambassadors for organizing the trip. We never would have made it to beautiful Bali otherwise. Hotel Komune, its staff, the food, and the spa are exceptional. If we ever get the chance to come back, we will definitely stay at Hotel Komune.
Overall, our Bali was an extremely positive experience. The resort where we stayed (Hotel Komune), was outstanding. The grounds, meeting places, gym, yoga shalas, restaurants, and recreation areas were excellent. The staff were extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable, clean, and well appointed. The excursions available to the Trip Tribe participants were both plentiful, varied, and well planned. Transportation was coordinated by the hotel and was very reliable. Overall, the Bali experience was excellent!
It was fantastic! The trainers were out of this world and the participants were kind and lots of fun. The hotel was great. The food was delicious and healthy. And the staff super adorable. All in all, it is something I would do again.
