Jenny Finkel began doing yoga as a scoliotic, asthmatic 12-year-old after reading an article in Seventeen magazine. Now that she is kind of an adult, she teaches yoga full-time. She completed her 200-hour training with YogaWorks and a 50-hour specialized training in Therapeutic Yoga for Cancer at IIntegrative Medicine.
Set in the historic fishing village of Discovery Bay on Jamaica's northern coast, Sundown villa gives a taste of a hidden Jamaica that not very many people know about. Life at Sundown may feel strangely familiar: it's that special place you've always dreamed of owning - a peaceful and welcoming sanctuary by the sea where you and your family can kick-back and relax and enjoy the serene surroundings of your second home.
From head-to-toe this charming five-bedroom hideaway purrs elegant Caribbean-styled living. Perhaps the best feature of this villa is the large and inviting veranda with wooden ceiling fans that is nestled behind the villa. A restful communal spot with comfortable sofas and loungers, it is the perfect spot to unwind with your family surrounded by tropical flowers enjoying the memorizing views of the white sand beach and serene bay.
On either side of the great room and adjoined verandah are the two master bedrooms each with its own private patio overlooking the beach and bay. The other bedrooms are nestled on the garden side of the house offering an equally peaceful place to rest and curl up with your favorite book.
Your private chef, Damean McKoy is a culinary king who will prepare the feasts and snacks you crave. For breakfast enjoy his Jamaican festival dumplings, a recipe that has been passed down from his grandmother. Or wake from your afternoon nap in the shade of the covered porch to the smell of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies wafting from the kitchen. The best part about it is you don't have to lift a finger.
