Artisan food, wine and cooking in southwestern France led by LA Times Travel Section featured culinary tour leader Cindy Stephan. The chateau was listed in the guide “200 Best Bed and Breakfast in France, 2016” by Le Figaro magazine.

Cindy Stephan has been organizing and guiding tours worldwide for over 25 years with focus has been on creating unique and authentic experiences for her guests. Many of her tours have been featured in various publications and blogs including the Los Angeles Times Travel Section. Chateau Ladausse is a 17 th century Chateau located in a bastide village in Southwest France. It is owned by an American and Belgium couple. She is a professional chef and her husband is a retired engineer, now professional sommelier. There are 7 unique and different bedrooms available at the Chateau along with two salons and the vast grounds for the group’s use.

  • Lunch and visit at historic winery in Bordeaux

Airport Transfers

Transfers to and from Merignac Airport (BDX) in Bordeaux or Bordeaux train station

Optional Activities

  • Private massage or yoga at Chateau
  • Visit to local saffron producer or other local farms (truffle, goat cheese producer, honey, duck)

Getting There

Airport transfers are included on Sept. 24 and Oct. 1. Guests must schedule to arrive no later than 12 pm on Sept. 24 to begin tour. Additional nights in Bordeaux prior to or after the tour are available at guests’ expense.

Good to Know

Not included: flights to/from the closest airport to the venue and travel insurance. Guests are responsible for purchasing travel medical insurance and cancellation insurance which are also not included.
