La Duna is located in one of the Gulf of California's most beautiful coastal landscapes in Baja, Mexico, just 40 minutes North of the city of La Paz, on the coastline bordering the Bay. We are close to the city but secluded enough to enjoy a star laced night sky, the undisturbed view of whale dwelling islands, and multicolored ancient mountains. Enjoy our tranquil and comfortable accommodations for 8-16 people, healthy local and international cuisine, additional activities inspired by the beauty of Nature.
A round 26' shaded area 'central palapa," and we have another rectangle shaded area for 16 people. In addition to the space, we have eight yoga mats available to borrow for anyone in need of them.
Round-trip transportation to and from La Paz, Mexico airport (LAP) is included on the first and last day of the trip. It takes 45 minutes to get to the venue from the airport.
Sleeps up to 2, Contains 1 king or queen bed and 2 twin beds
The property contains 8 rooms surrounding our central shaded palapa. Each room has two single comfortable beds, or one queen size, and they include linens and bath towel. Made like the local ranchers used to make them, our rooms are built with local renewable wood "palo de arco" and palapa roofs. Candle night light and solar bed light make these personal spaces unique and cozy.
All stays include the use of the installations, hot showers, table and beach games. We ask you to save water, and we recycle all of it, however, we provide you with regular showers and sinks for your comfort, and there are solar bag showers also available.
We replicated the local ranch architecture and maintained the native landscape. We make use of solar energy, conserve and recycle water; and designed a series of eco-cultural trails and activities that offer an integrating experience to our guests.
Sleeps up to 2, Contains 1 king or queen bed
Suite with its own private bathroom and kitchen, queen size bed, small sitting area. We are on the sea just below a beautiful set of sensual dunes, surrounded by tall cacti and the amazing mountains as our backdrop. It is a place to enjoy the peacefulness of expansive and great views. You’ll love its location and simplicity.
We are nested between the mountain and the sea, so within walking distance you can appreciate wildlife and expansive natural views. Walking and receiving the dawn on the beach is a favorite activity. The evenings full of stars and no light pollution are magical. A boat tour of Espiritu Santo Island is a must, and if you like science and monitoring we have whale shark and turtle monitoring trips that support local conservation organizations. If you need a little urban fix, there is always the cultural city tour.
No nearby food stores or restaurants. Bring your own snacks and zip lock bags to store them.
The following activities can only be booked and paid for at the resort. They cannot be booked in advanced through Trip Tribe.
