Breakfasts include a mix of local fresh fruit salads, yogurt, granola, eggs/omelets, pancakes, whole wheat toast and fresh bread from our local bakery, gluten-free vegan breakfast muffins, tea, coffee, juices and fruit smoothies.
Lunches and dinners are primarily seafood given the abundance of fresh local organic seafood available - including red snapper, sea bass, tuna, mahi-mahi, lobster, clams and shrimp, all served up by our local resident chefs in their own unique and flavorsome way.
Meals are served with a variety of healthy sides including rice, plantains, yucca, various salads and soups, quinoa, beans, and fruit.
A delicious variety of vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free meal plans are readily available. Meats and chicken are also available on request.
Beverages include natural fruit smoothies with breakfast, natural fruit juices with lunch (all using local tropical fruits).
We serve Argentinian and Chilean wines or local beer (1 serve pp) with your evening meal, as well as fruit-infused sparkling water.
For any additional food, drinks, smoothies, juices etc you would like to enjoy beyond what is served at each meal you are welcome to order and pay directly at the restaurant bar at any time throughout the day.
Our restaurant is open from 7am - 11pm every day.
Local Boquette coffee and a variety of teas and milks are served every. We also have a chilled filtered water station for you to re-fill on the go.
Our retreats are hosted at the picturesque Hotel Santa Catalina, in Santa Catalina Panama - owned by local legend and long-time lover of surfing, nature and the ocean, Kenny Meyers.
Secluded and nestled into nature, the property backs onto the breathtaking Pacific Ocean providing the most spectacular view of the world-famous point break "The Point", home to the ISA World Surfing Games in 2013.
With your own private beach access at hide tide, guests can take out a Kayak, Surfboard or Stand Up Paddle-board at their leisure. Or simply enjoy the majestic views from the infinity pool, yoga deck and restaurant.
Bikes, bodyboards, surfboards, kayaks, SUP boards, skateboards and snorkels are all complimentary for retreat guests during their stay. We also have a ping pong table and pool table. Along with moderate speed wifi in the restaurant social area.

Thanks to our off-grid location our village remained fairly undeveloped with just a handful of small, locally owned hotels, restaurants, shops, and bars.
In the town of Soná 1 hour away, we have access to banks and ATM, pharmacies, large grocers and a hospital.
Round-trip transportation to and from Panama City Tocumen International Airport (PTY) is included on the first and last day of the trip. It takes more than 4 hours to get to the venue from the airport.

Coiba National Park is one of Panama’s most beautiful places, a 1.5 hour boat ride from Playa Santa Catalina. Identified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 2005, the island is still relatively undeveloped with over 80% of its natural habitat intact.
It is renowned as having some of the most bio-diverse marine life on the planet. The beaches are exquisite and the island and surrounding areas offer spectacular diving and snorkeling. Santa Catalina has 3 PADI certified Dive Centers with trips going out most days, so we can help you build in a dive or snorkel into your retreat week.
Chill out on the beautiful and secluded white sand beach of Santa Catalina Island. With its calm crystal blue waters, it's the perfect place to enjoy snorkeling around the reefs or beach-combing the majestic sands. Just a 45min paddle from our property by SUP board or Kayak.
Whether you’re learning to surf for the very first time, or a complete pro, the beaches of Santa Catalina offer some of the best breaks in Central America for beginner to advanced surfers. Guests can take any of our boards out at their leisure.
For beginner to intermediate surfers, guests can take a short 500m walk to Playa Estero. A quiet, super fun and uncrowded beach break with a gentle sand bottom, breaking left and right - offering smaller more gentle waves for beginners on the south side and more challenging waves on the north. It is the perfect beach break to begin and improve your surfing.
For intermediate to advanced surfers, guests can paddle out right from our property to The Point. This is a world class wave that was home to the ISA World Surfing Games and offers consistent waves all read round. Also for intermediate to advanced surfers we have Punta Roca, just past Estero Beach, plus other secret breaks which are only accessible by boat.
Santa Catalina’s local horseman can take you on a laid-back, or exhilarating ride through the lush forest and beach side - you set the pace! The horses are super friendly and we'll provide a horse suitable to your level. Complete beginners to advanced riders welcome. For experiences riders you'll have the chance to have a free open ride along our beautiful beach at sunset and through the fincas. For beginner riders our local horse-man will accompany you and take a nice easy pace. Sunrise and sunset are sensational times for this activity.
Completely unwind with a massage session by our range of certified therapists. Regular available treatments include Deep Tissue and Swedish Relaxation. Depending on massage therapists available at the time of your booking, we may also be able to offer Reike, Lymphatic Drainage and Thai Yoga Massage. Treatments take place in the privacy of our Yoga Shala, your room, or on our waterfront deck.
Join our local guides for a hike around our Santa Catalina community trail. Enjoy and learn about the diverse flora and fauna, listen and observe the beautiful forest birds and take in the incredible view at the top of the trail - the highest point in Santa Catalina.
This is a wonderful activity for taking in the sunset and enjoying 360 views of Santa Catalina and the surrounding islands.

A large variety of birds inhabit the tropical rainforest surrounding Santa Catalina. You can take your own stroll and catch some stunning sights, or we can arrange a full-day experience in the majestic and heritage listed Coiba National Park, with local Santa Catalina Birdsman Javier.

I cannot think of a more flawless trip, relaxing, but with a lot of active options, fantastic people, beautiful environment, and some amazing gracious hosts.
Everybody on this trip was very nice and beyond welcoming. it made for the best trip. the surf instructors were AMAZING as well. there wasn't one part of this trip I didnt like. from the staff working behind the bar, to the kitchen to reception to the surf instructors.. AMAZING!!!
This trip was a trip of a lifetime. Hotel Santa Catalina and the owners were the most generous and kind people I have ever dealt with. Best location for accommodations, best view from a bar/restaurant, and the beds were very comfy. Can't wait to go back.
