Large_userindexthumb_photoTori came to yoga as a source of healing, during a profound life transition in her early twenties. Growing up as an athlete and gymnast, she found the asanas familiar and challenging. But very quickly, yoga become something more. She knew early in her yoga journey that she would become a teacher. She started leading community classes out of her apartment in Washington, DC while completing her MFA at American University. Those classes paired nicely with community potlucks and she began to see the amazing potential of bringing people together through the practice of yoga. Her practice and teaching have led to travels in Bali, leading a retreat in Nicaragua, dancing with Shiva Rea, and sitting in deep self study.

Tori is also an artist and currently lives in Portland, OR with her partner John and adopted pup Scout. They can often be found hiking in the woods, riding bicycles along the river, spending a day on the coast, or sitting around the house with a good book or the New York Times ... simply enjoying life!
