I have been a lover of Yoga for 7 years and an instructor of Yoga for 6 years. Like everyone, Yoga found me. It found me when I needed it the most, took the snow globe of my life, flipped it, shook it and landed me with both feet firmly planted right where I needed to be. Within a year of beginning my teaching journey, I packed up my kids and my piggy bank and moved us a province away to take over a beautiful yoga studio in the Shuswap. I teach a wide variety of yoga from Hot to Aerial to Standup paddle to Restorative and whatever else in between! To me yoga is a means to reconnect body and mind. We spend a lot of time not listening to our bodies, or finding negatives in our physical. Yoga brings us back to "I feel" . It turns down the volume of distraction and turns up the volume of our senses. I love seeing people begin to feel their bodies again, to consciously breath, to listen to what their body's are asking for , to self love and heal. If we can have some fun while we do this work then I feel like I am in my true north. This is my intention. :)
