"The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind, and the harmony of the soul create the symphony of life."
-- BKS Iyengar
I began practicing yoga in Idaho as a teenager. I began studying the practice more deeply while studying creative writing at the University of Washington in Seattle. Upon moving to Brooklyn in 2010 I devoted myself to learning and teaching yoga. I trained at Greenhouse Holistic in Williamsburg under the expert guidance of Leigh Evans and Summer Quashie. I study Ayurveda, philosophy, Chinese medicine, and anatomy to complement my yoga teachings. I live in Brooklyn and teach group classes as well as private and semi-private sessions, with a focus on teaching mindful, breath-focused sequences that challenge the body and calm the mind. I draw inspiration from a variety of yoga styles including Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, and Interoceptive yoga.
