Large_image7-1Ricky Florack has been practicing yoga since 2011. She studied hatha, hatha flow, vinyasa, yin yoga and meditation at different yoga studios in her hometown Breda (NL), as well as in other locations in The Netherlands and Belgium.

After personally experiencing the benefits, joy and wisdom of yoga she wanted to be qualified to design and teach her own classes and in this way share yoga with others.

She started teaching yoga after her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in 2015. In this intensive course she studied with Arielle Thomas Newman and other international teachers at Yoga by the Sea in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. This made her fall in love with yoga even more, and also with the beautiful country of Mexico! Besides alignment, anatomy, philosophy and spirituality her teacher training course covered special workshops in: post- and prenatal yoga, restorative yoga and yoga for healthy ageing. Afterwards, studying didn't stop, and she studied a 30 hour course on yoga and the ancient healing system of Ayurveda with Rachel Welch.

Right now, Ricky still finds herself in Playa del Carmen and teaches - almost 'fulltime' - hatha (flow) yoga, vinyasa yoga, sport specific yoga and restorative yoga classes for groups as well as privates.

Another thing she is passioned about is martial arts, and is currently teaching marital arts related yoga to fighters in different disciplines like muay thai, mma, boxing, bjj, capoeira etc. In short this ultimately is: yoga for a warrior state of mind, and to serve a warrior body at its best.

Ricky is working with several private clients, in yoga studios and (martial arts) gyms. Depending on who's her client, Ricky's classes are either build up to break a good sweat, to get into an exceptional state of relaxation, or to serve students in their daily life: to provide them tools to improve their physical, mental and spiritual qualities.

A combination of pranayama, meditation and asana is her way to go! Working with both men and women, beginners and advanced yogis, she knows yoga is truly suitable, helpful and enjoyable for everybody.

Her classes are available in English, Dutch, and Spanish.

Inspiration and motivation she draws from nature, traveling, the active/sports life, reading, and the golden combination of good company and delicious (vegan) food.
