Large_userindexthumb_mindy_yoga-0039I started practicing Yoga a little over 17 years ago. It was a practice created by the need to learn how to breathe. It was a stressful time in my life. I was beginning to deal with my childhood issues as well as going through a divorce. Due to having General Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder and Complex PTSD, I found Yoga to be a path to calming my mind as well as my body and easing my overall anxious state. It was after making this connection in my daily practice that I began to think about taking a teacher training program. Initially my only thought was to be a better student, not a teacher. However, the more I grew in my own Yoga studies, the more certain I became that I am here to share the many great benefits I experience emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually from practicing Yoga.
Yoga won’t take away the anxiety, the triggers or the pain. Yoga will help you to find a way to understand yourself better, be healthy, be more compassionate and feel and overall since of peacefulness. Personally, I eat, sleep and breathe Yoga.

Every single day I am blessed to live the life I choose to live on my mat and off the mat. Each breath is a reminder: “ When you inhale, you are taking strength from God. When you exhale, it represents the service you are giving to the world.” -B.K.S. Iyengar
