Jason Calsyn

Yoga Ambassador

Jason has practiced yoga for 12 years and is fascinated by moving meditation. He received his RYT-200 certification at Maui Hot Yoga in 2012 and has been teaching hatha and vinyasa classes in the Seattle area. Jason emphasizes proper alignment and breath technique and believes that there is much more to yoga than physical fitness.

Jason believes that yoga is a practice for personal growth, not just physical fitness. There is great potential in using yoga as a tool to connect with the highest and best versions of ourselves. On this retreat, we will do a daily yoga practice, but we'll also work a little deeper, going past the surface of our practice to get in touch with that part of ourselves which is is more than just the self, but connects us all together.

Jason has practiced a wide variety of yoga styles, and his classes incorporate aspects of hatha, vinyasa, and ashtanga practice. He also teaches mindfulness and meditation techniques as part of his classes.
