Emily Dawn is a leading health & nutrition expert focused on living an active, balanced life. As a trained chef, certified yoga instructor & sports nutritionist, Emily’s philosophy is not only just about eating well, but looking at the whole range of human experience. From relationships to spirituality, diet to exercise, cultivating the best version of you, & so much more…live your dream, you will be surprised what is possible on the other side of fear.
In 2008, while balancing a full-time managerial position in the hospitality industry & maintaining her university studies Emily found yoga as a means to disconnect from all the responsibilities & stress and find peace. Emily began her journey into self-awareness & spirituality merely by the physical practice of yoga. It is no so secret that so many instructors feel drawn to the overall benefits yoga has on the body, but over time this practice evolved into much more. Emily graduated from Arizona State University with her Bachelor’s degree in History and Geography in 2010, in addition to having degrees in culinary arts & hospitality management. Emily was driven to share the beauty that yoga brought into her life with others. Inspired by one of her own instructors, Vivienne Sio Tarquinio, Emily completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in June 2011 in Scottsdale, Arizona at Life Power. She is certified through the internationally recognized organization, Yoga Alliance & is an active member in the association. Emily studied under renowned yoga instructors, Jenn Chiarelli & John Salisbury.
“Yoga is a part of my everyday life. My own practice is always evolving; I am not only a teacher, but I am also a student. I love sharing my life experience with others in hopes that my teaching resonates and inspires. I am driven to help others seek sustainable wellness. A concept of being aware of your life and surroundings, people, places, things and managing all these components in a healthy, forward moving way that is natural and easy to maintain, not just another diet, trend, or fad.”
Emily Dawn primarily teaches Vinyasa yoga, one of the most popular forms of yoga in Western society focused on "breath-synchronized movement.” Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that link breath with movement. Vinyasa builds on the traditional Hatha asanas & are smooth, flowing & almost dance-like movements. In addition, Emily also teaches more restorative yoga practices & meditation.
