Years ago, as a runner looking for a remedy for sore, tight muscles, yoga sparked my interest. I was hooked. Nearly three decades later, my yoga journey continues, a trusted and transformative path to living whole-heartedly with joy, balance and wisdom. In the early ‘90s as a student of YogaWorks in Santa Monica, CA, I was inspired by the studio’s innovative and now celebrated teachers, including Shiva Rea, Erich Schiffmann, Bryan Kest and Seane Corn. My yoga journey connected me in 1997 with master teacher Sarah Powers and the integration of Vinyasa with slower, deeper styles of yoga and meditation. I’ve been a certified group fitness and Spinning® instructor, but yoga is the practice that held firm. I started teaching yoga in 1998 when I moved back to the East Coast. Since then, I’ve completed my teacher training with Sarah Powers and my 200-hour Vinyasa certification at Eyes of the World Yoga in Providence, RI with Tom Gillette. My style is precise but playful, blending Vinyasa flow sequences with longer held Yin postures, core strengthening, and meditation to create a dynamic and balanced yoga practice. Mindfulness techniques weave throughout practice to deepen relaxation and spark self-inquiry on and off the mat. I also have a passion for food and health and recently graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. As a corporate manager, wife and mother, I understand the vital importance of retreat to relinquish busy schedules, stepping away from daily routines and distractions to deepen practice and strengthen our inner capacity to live with more ease, grace and compassion, regardless of what we find on our path.
