Filling up my retreat 8 months prior to it happening was motivated by ‘believing’ it could happen.

I live in a small town mountain community and I knew choosing a place that was affordable, but ‘new’ would be key for my audience of students.

I think it’s also authenticity. I know what it feels like to be a student on a yoga retreat — I have done two retreats and they changed my life. Your students’ lives will transform, so I tell them it’s all about nurturing where they are in their practice… And of course they trust me as a teacher.

I have also brought to the forefront two words from my journey of jalaBlu… ‘Fortitude & Patience.’ It’s taken me 5 years to build a strong Kula (community) and through that foundation I have built a beautiful relationship with my clients. You need that, in my opinion, to market a retreat… And being excited about where you are going and what you are offering.
